Hello friends!

[Scroll down for news about our café opening, bike rides and rentals, photography exhibition, workshops and gift shop!]

We are very excited to let you know that our café at 20 rue des Frères Delga, Gaillac, is NOW OPEN! Our summer opening hours are as follows:

Lunch plateCookieHot chocWednesday: 10am–6:30pm
Thursday: 10am–6:30pm
Friday: 9:30am–6:30pm
Saturday: 9:30am–2pm

Lunch is served from 12–2pm Thursday–Saturday, otherwise we'll have a selection of cakes, desserts and tray bakes, as well as tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and smoothies. As the vast majority of our fresh produce is locally sourced, our menu will change according to what's available and in season. All our food is organic.

Please note that all of our products (sweet and savoury) are also available for takeaway. You can order through our website, but please remember to state what day you would like to collect your order!

bike clipartOn the BIKE side of things, Philippe is ramping up for the summer season with bike rentals. If you have friends or family visiting over the summer months and would like to rent some bikes to explore the area, make sure to get in touch. Delivery can be arranged and routes and itineraries provided.

From Tuesday 29th June Philippe will be resuming the Tuesday Social Ride, a social bike ride leaving from the shop at 6:30pm. Please let us know if you intend to join.

We are also delighted to have on exhibition an eclectic selection of photographs by Lavada Nicholls, a working photographer for forty years, who for the last 15 years has called the Tarn home. All the works on display are for sale, but the exhibition must end 4th September, so make sure to check it out before it's too late!

We plan to run cooking demonstrations and bike repair workshops in the coming months. You can register your interest by replying to this email.

Chrissy giftsWe have enlisted the super talented Chrissy Marshall to create for us a line of bike-themed gifts, now proudly displayed in our small but growing retail section. The range includes tote bags, cosmetic bags, lavender gift boxes, twisted turbans and scrunchies. All handmade with love!

For anyone living in the area, you might be interested to know that on Wednesday 16th June the Mairie of Gaillac is offering vouchers for 10€ which have a value of 20€ when used at participating Gaillac retailers (including La Bonne Echappée!). An offer not to be missed!

That's everything for now. We look forward to seeing you all very soon! (And please help us spread the word!)
